- Eligibility data: Whether you had a car on finance between 2007 and November 2024, and whether you have already submitted a claim elsewhere
- Consent records: Records of the consents you have given us, including the date, time and wording shown

We process your personal data on the following lawful bases:
- Consent (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR): You consent to us sharing your data with the law firm to whom your claim is referred when you submit the eligibility check form. - Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR): For limited internal purposes only - preventing fraud, maintaining the security of our service, and keeping basic operational records of enquiries. We do not rely on legitimate interests for the data-sharing described in section 6.
- Legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) UK GDPR): To comply with our regulatory obligations under the Financial Conduct Authority for claims management referral activity.
5. How We Use Your Data
We use your personal data to:
- Assess your eligibility for a car finance claim based on the information you provide
- Refer you to the law firm that handles your claim so they can assess your potential claim and act for you
- Carry out a soft credit search (which does not affect your credit score) to help identify any relevant finance agreements
- Communicate with you about your enquiry or referral
- Comply with our legal and regulatory obligations under the FCA
6. Who We Share Your Data With
By submitting the eligibility check form, you consent to us sharing your personal data as set out below.
We share your personal information with Harcus Parker Limited, trading as Parker Kerrigan (SRA No. 653501), the firm of solicitors that handles your claim, for the purpose of assessing and pursuing a claim relating to mis-sold or overcharged vehicle finance agreements, including Discretionary Commission Arrangement (DCA) claims. They may contact you by telephone, email, or SMS to discuss your claim.
Once your data is passed to Parker Kerrigan, they will become a separate data controller for the personal data they receive. Their use of your data will be governed by their own privacy policy, which they will provide to you.
We also share data with:
- Credit reference / verification providers: Valid8 IP Ltd, to carry out a soft credit search that does not affect your credit score
- Hosting and IT providers: Who process data on our behalf under data processing agreements
- Regulators: The FCA or ICO where required by law
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party for marketing purposes.

If your claim appears eligible, you may be contacted by us or by Parker Kerrigan by telephone, email, or SMS to:

- Explain the terms of engagement and fee structure, including any conditional fee or damages-based arrangement
You are under no obligation to proceed with a claim.
8. Data Retention
We retain your personal data as follows:
- If referred to the law firm: We retain a record of the referral for 6 years to comply with FCA and general limitation-period requirements.
- If not eligible or you choose not to proceed: We delete your personal data within 12 months, unless you ask us to retain it or we are required to keep it by law.
- Consent records: Retained for as long as relevant to demonstrate compliance.
